Rev. Deacon Polycarp (William Roland) Kroah was born on April 19, 1960 in Santa Cruz, CA, and fell asleep in the Lord on January 10, 2020, in Seattle, WA. Deacon Polycarp spent most of his life in Southern California, having moved permanently to the Tacoma area in August 2019. He enjoyed reading, woodworking, riding his Harley, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was a faithful servant in the Eastern Orthodox Church, where he joyfully served for many years. He was ordained into the Diaconate in July of 2018 by His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel, and assigned to St. Anne Parish, Pomona, California.
He is survived by his parents, Rev. Gary & Carol Kroah, wife, Darlene Kroah, children, Austin Kroah, Kayla (Stephen) Christian, Daniel (Shelby) Kroah, Sean Kroah, grandchildren, Liam, Aiden, Toliver, Lucy, Samson, Emmett, and Astrid, sister, Rebecca (Rev. Michael) Duncan, sister, Carolyn (Robert) Hickey, and many nieces and godchildren.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 15, at Three Holy Hierarchs Romanian Orthodox Church in Mountlake Terrace, WA. Burial took place at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup, WA.
