The Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America gathered in its 84th Annual Session at Vatra Romaneasca, in Grass Lake, Michigan, passed unanimously the following resolution in its opening session:

Whereas, the life of our God-protected Episcopate has recently been attacked by calumny, slander and lies through the use of emails, social media, publications and illegal demonstrations; and

Whereas, the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America (ROEA) is a canonical diocese of the Orthodox Church in America, its hierarchs being members of its Holy Synod of Bishops, the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States and the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of Canada;

The Congress of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America therefore resolves the following:

We affirm our allegiance and adherence to the Holy Canons of the Orthodox Church, the Statutes of the Orthodox Church in America and the Constitution and By-Laws of the Romanian Orthodox Episcopate of America;

We assert our support of and loyalty to His Eminence Archbishop Nathaniel, Reverend Father Vicar David Oancea, Reverend Father Vicar Dan Hoarste and others who have been the objects of said attacks; and

We call upon the clergy of the ROEA, its members and all faithful Orthodox Christians to observe and protect the peace, harmony and good order of our God-protected Episcopate.

Congresul Episcopiei Ortodoxe Romane din America intrunit in a 84a Sesiune de lucru la Vatra Romaneasca, in Grass Lake, Michigan, a adoptat unanim urmatoarea rezolutie in sesiunea de deschidere din 1 septembrie 2016:

Întrucât viața de Dumnezeu pazitei noastre Episcopi a fost recent tulburata de calomnii și minciuni, prin utilizarea de email-uri, a retelelor de socializare, publicații și demonstrații ilegale; și

Întrucât, Episcopia Ortodoxa Romana din America (ROEA) este o eparhie canonică a Bisericii Ortodoxe din America, ierarhii ei fiind membrii ai Sfântului ei Sinod, si membrii in Adunarea Episcopilor Canonici Ortodocși din Statele Unite ale Americii și in Adunarea Episcopilor Canonici Ortodocși din Canada;

Prin urmare, Congresul Episcopiei Ortodoxe Române din America rezolvă următoarele:

Noi afirmăm loialitatea și adeziunea noastră la Sfintele Canoane ale Sfintei Biserici Ortodoxe, la statutul Bisericii Ortodoxe din America, cât și la Constituția și Statutul Episcopiei Ortodoxe Române din America;

Noi afirmăm sprijinul si loialitatea noastra pentru Inaltpreasfintitul Parintele nostru Arhiepiscop Nathaniel, Preacucernicul Părinte Vicar David Oancea, și Preacucernicul Părinte Vicar Dan Hoarste si altii, care au fost obiectul atacurilor menționate anterior; și

Facem apel catre clerul Episcopiei Ortodoxe Romane din America, membrii săi și toți creștinii ortodocși credincioși să respecte și să protejeze pacea, armonia și buna ordinea a de Dumnezeu pazitei noastre Episcopi.
