(Grass Lake, MI - ROEA Chancery: April 13, 2011)  Preoteasa Mary (nee Cristea) Samoila, wife of Very Rev. Fr. Raymond Samoila (retired), fell asleep in the Lord at home in North Canton, Ohio on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at the age of 93.  She was born in Canton, OH on June 11, 1917. She married Raymond Samoila in 1939,  and they had two sons: Raymond and Richard. She assisted Fr. Ray in his diaconal ministry in Canton, OH for nine years (1973-1982), then in his priestly ministry at parishes in Ellwood City, PA and Alliance, OH, until his retirement in 2006. The Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 15 at St. George the Great Martyr Church, Canton, OH at 11 am. Viewing from 9-11 am. His Eminence, Archbishop Nathaniel will preside.  May her memory be eternal!
